VC the BP?

Has anyone ever told you, you have a big personality, and you wondered what that meant? Lately, while getting into the zone of finding a career home, I have heard a lot about “my big personality.” Is that a bad thing? I say hell no. Look at those adjectives: stable, agreeable, open, extraverted, conscientious.

Over the past almost 12 months, I have learned so much – especially about what I love, don’t love, and what makes me tick. And one thing for sure is that I like big personalities and being a big personality. What’s the alternative – no personality?

So, I did some research, and there are 16 different personality types. I took a detailed questionnaire to discover that I am a Protagonist. Protagonists are inspiring optimists, readily taking action to do what they feel is right. I can live with that!

I am not apologetic for my big “protagonist” personality and love surrounding myself with other BPPs. I don’t want anyone to feel they must put up with me – because they don’t. But if they do, they will get a fierce supporter, a loyal friend, a gladiator for their cause and a supported of the truth as they see it.

I expect an insightful and respectful conversation where my expertise on a subject is respected and followed. But, if not followed – a reason that serves a purpose and not just because they want to be correct.

Call me what you want: big personality, gladiator, badass, protagonist, or pain in the ass (I have even been called worse) – what floats your boat, but you must know that if you call me friend, I will always have your back.

Thanks for reading,
VC
