Recently, I made a career decision that wasn’t driven by title, compensation, or what looked good on paper.
It was driven by my heart.
This wasn’t about chasing a paycheck. It was about following a leader who is building something worth believing in.
When the pandemic hit, many of us were suddenly scattered. Like so many teams across industries, we were forced onto different paths. It wasn’t by choice.
But the mindset we shared never left us.
Customers first.
Employees valued.
Culture intentional.
It is a belief system. A standard. A vision rooted in putting people first and doing exceptional work in a way that feels different in this industry.
There’s a line in Field of Dreams that says, “If you build it, they will come.”
One by one, we did. And we’re still coming.
Not because it’s easy.
Not because it’s guaranteed.
But because we believe in the foundation it’s being built on.
This move wasn’t about leaving something behind. It was about taking a step toward something that felt like home.
The bravest thing you can do in your career is align yourself with a vision that reflects your values, and then help build it.
We are not just coworkers. We are a community.
We believe that if you put customers first, treat employees well, and show up for one another, you don’t just stand out as professionals, you stand out as people.
That kind of culture changes you, and there is no going back. And once you’ve experienced that level of alignment, you can’t unsee it.
As I look ahead, I’m reminded how much I value being part of a team where relationships are the center of everything. Where work and life complement each other. Where high expectations are balanced with camaraderie. Where trust and support aren’t assumed, they’re lived daily.
Grateful to be part of this incredibly experienced team. Same passion, new name.
We are aligned. And alignment isn’t just powerful; It’s rare.
Thanks for reading,
VC
